Gothic Clouds
GOTHIC, COLORADO
Deep in the Colorado Mountains, above Gunnison is the Ski Town of Crested Butte. Above and further into the Mountains is Gothic. Home of The Rocky Mt. Research Station and a population of under 10 people. Gothic is named for the ‘Gothic style arches’ made in the jutting mountains by the last Ice Age. Here is the access to the Gothic/Snodgrass trailhead. The altitude is 12,600 ft and the clouds form easily in these peaks and valleys.
